Our Story

SciCook was born at the intersection of science, food, and a deep love for community. Founded in San Diego, we began with a simple but radical idea: that nutritious food, prepared with care and grounded in evidence-based nutrition science, should be accessible to every person — not just those who can afford it.

Our founder, Dr. Taher Sathaliya, brought decades of scientific expertise and a lifetime of culinary passion to create an organization unlike any other. Drawing inspiration from global cuisines — particularly the vibrant traditions of India — and guided by the latest nutritional research, SciCook crafts seasonal menus that are as delicious as they are nourishing.

When we nourish our bodies with wholesome, carefully prepared food, we invest in our mental clarity, physical strength, and emotional wellbeing.
